Participant Commitment and Benefits


Commitment

Participants commit to:

  • Participating in two retreats. The opening retreat will be at a Lake Michigan location on the westside of the state, beginning the afternoon of Friday, June 27th, and concluding the afternoon of Sunday, June 29th. The closing retreat and celebration will be held on Higgins Lake, beginning the afternoon of March 13th, 2026 and concluding the afternoon of March 15th, 2026. 
  • Participating in monthly virtual calls in between retreats (held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 12-1pm ET, July through February.)
  • Collaborative work with peers during and after the program. Participants can expect to commit 2-3 hours a month to MCEL outside of scheduled programming, pursuing learning and building relationships within our network.

Benefits

Participants will receive:

  • a $1000 flexible participation stipend to cover travel, learning opportunities, and any other expenses associated with participation.
  • Two retreat experiences, including lodging, food, and memorable programming and recreation.
  • Deep connections with peers in the clean energy industry.
  • Learning opportunities and access to dynamic speakers via in-person and virtual programming.
  • An opportunity for sponsored membership in E2’s Emerging Leaders program. All MCEL participants will be added to E2‘s supporter network.
  • Other opportunities with project partners and leadership over the course of the program.
